Recognition of Jan Brown as IEEE WIE Inspiring Member of the Year by Lori Bridal, UFFC-S WIE Liaison At the IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference in San Francisco, CA in May 2014, the IEEE Women in Engineering Committee bestowed its inaugural 'IEEE Women in Engineering Inspiring Member of the Year Award' on Jan Brown, JB Consulting West Whately, MA. This award recognizes a professional member of IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) who has made an outstanding contribution to WIE, their community, and the engineering community, through their dedication and involvement in projects or activities directed toward fulfilling one or more of the WIE goals and objectives. Jan received the award in recognition of her work in “for championing the founding the IEEE WIE and for continued mentorship of generations of WIE leaders”.
