Joint IEEE ISAF-ECAPD-PFM 2012 Conference (9-13 July 2012)

IEEE ISAF-ECAPD-PFM 2012 conference was a joint meeting combining three different events, all held in the University of Aveiro (Portugal) from 9th to 13th of July, 2012 (http://isaf-ecapd.web.ua.pt). These three conferences were:
(i) 21st IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics (ISAF-2012)
(ii) 11th European Conference on Applications of Polar Dielectrics (ECAPD-2012)
(iii) 4th Conference “Piezoresponse Force Microscopy and Nanoscale Phenomena in Polar Materials” (PFM-2012).

The conference was also a part of the 1st workshop of the EU Initial Training Network called Nanomotion (“Nanoelectromechanical Motion in Functional Materials”, http://nanomotion.web.ua.pt/) meeting.

The objective of ISAF-ECAPD-PFM 2012 was to achieve an international and interdisciplinary exchange of information and cooperation among researchers and engineers in academia, government laboratories, and industries on various topics related (but not limited) to processing, characterization and applications of ferroelectric, piezoelectric, pyroelectric, dielectric and other advanced functional materials of the 21st century. The conference attracted about 490 attendees from 42 countries, a significant increase from the previous IEEE ISAF-PFM conference in Vancouver (Canada).
