2004 IEEE Honors Ceremony


photo of Tadahiro SekimotoOn Saturday, 19 June 2004, the IEEE Honors Ceremony will be held at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri.

The IEEE Medal of Honor, the most prestigious IEEE award, will be presented to Tadahiro Sekimoto, Chairman, Institute for International Socio-Economic Studies, Tokyo, Japan.

"For contributions to digital satellite communications, promotion of information technology R&D, and technical and corporate leadership in computers and communications."

The IEEE will honor nineteen individuals and two corporations at the event for their contributions to electro and information technologies and sciences.
