IEEE History Center: Support the History Center

Contributions from individuals and organizations are an important part of the Center's support. The Trustees of the IEEE History Center, which is a part of the IEEE Foundation devoted to supporting the History Center, runs two programs: a Friends Program for contributions to the annual operating budget and a Partnership Program for contributions to the Center's endowment. The contribution categories for each of the programs is listed below. We encourage you to become a Friend or Partner. We work hard to put your contribution to good use. All contributions are tax deductible in the United States. You may use the online Donation and Pledge Form!

• Give at the highest level you comfortably can.
• Recommend to your family and colleagues that they become supporters of the Center.
• Ask your employer to match your donation.
• Approach your company about making a corporate donation to the Friends Fund. The company will thus receive a tax deduction (U.S. only) and good publicity at the same time it is being a good citizen. If it's a technology-based company, it will be contributing to the positive public perception of its industry.
• Approach your company about distributing the Center's fundraising literature to its employees, establishing the Center as one of its preferred charities, and offering matching support if it does not already do so. We will be happy to provide all the literature, work within the company's guidelines, and advertise in IEEE publications the company's special program to support us.
• If you are active in one or more IEEE Societies, encourage them to contribute to the Center's endowment.
• If you are active in your IEEE Section, ask it to begin making a donation on an annual basis.
