Welcome to IEEE MGA Quick Start Training for Geographic Unit Leaders

This training assumes you have been recently elected to a position within a Geographic Unit (Region, Section, Chapter, Affinity Group) and want to quickly learn the basics of your position.   You’ve been elected to a position for the next year and you want to get off to a good start.

Thank you for agreeing to volunteer your time and talent to fulfill the core purpose of IEEE to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.  The success of IEEE is dependent on your efforts.  You have an opportunity to make a difference in your community, improve your skills, interact with people in your area, and have FUN.

Recognizing that you have volunteered for this position and that your time is limited, we’ve identified a number of tasks that are important to address within the first 30 days of being selected.  

Before you get started, please make sure that your member record is updated correctly to ensure that you receive communications via e-mail and postal mail.  In addition, you should make sure you have your user name and password of your IEEE Web Account.   You will need your Web Account in order to access information in your volunteer role.
