This Technology Committee includes all aspects of wireless (e.g. acoustic) information transmission underwater. Topics include propagation and communication channel modeling; link-layer techniques (modulation/ detection, coding, signal processing methods such as equalization, synchronization, and array combining); network-layer techniques (channel access and sharing, routing, transport control); functions of localization, navigation and positioning as they relate to the overall architecture and mission of autonomous underwater systems.
