Circuits and Systems for Artificial Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on

The scope of TCASAI focuses on one of the three cornerstones of the booming of AI technology - computing hardware. The computing efficiency of AI circuits and systems and its tradeoff with the complexity and performance of the AI model serve as the major factors that determine the adoption of AI technologies from edge to cloud. Here AI circuits and systems refers to the hardware that is designed to execute diverse AI models including but not limited to digital circuits, analog circuits, mixed-signal circuits, emerging nanodevice-based circuits, FPGA, GPU, CPU, domain-specific circuits, and the integrated computing systems, etc. Such circuits and systems for AI have been widely adopted in the applications of robotics, mobile devices, Internet of Things (IoT), medical devices, etc. These circuits and systems have different requirements in performance, power and energy consumption, footprint, Quality of Services (QoS), and cost, which also inspired a large variety of AI circuits and systems designs.
