IEEE ISAF-ECAPD-PFM 2012 conference was a joint meeting combining three different events, all held in the University of Aveiro (Portugal) from 9th to 13th of July, 2012 (http://isaf-ecapd.web.ua.pt). These three conferences were:
(i) 21st IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics (ISAF-2012)
(ii) 11th European Conference on Applications of Polar Dielectrics (ECAPD-2012)
(iii) 4th Conference “Piezoresponse Force Microscopy and Nanoscale Phenomena in Polar Materials” (PFM-2012).

Professor Marija Kosec passed away after a serious illness on 23rd December 2012. Almost everyone called her Marička, a popular Slovenian version of the biblical name.
